Create a Smile Stamps Countdown to the January 2017 Release!

hello all!

Create a Smile Stamps is releasing new stamps this month, and i am in LOVE with them!
i created a couple of cards and i can't wait to share them!

my first card uses the new Welcome Baby stamp set! soooo sweet!!

i stamped the cute images in a soft grey on the background of my card! then i splattered some of the ink onto it.
i heat embossed the sentiment in black, and LOVE how it pops!

i tore a little bit of the cardfront on top and had some bold black and white washi peek trhough! LOVE that little detail, too! i popped up the addooooooooorrable images, that i colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! soooooo sweet! love how this card came out!

my second card uses MY FAVORITE IMAGE EVER!! ack!!!

seriously...i swoon! it's from the new Decorated Wishes stamp set, and i could color it in different ways ALL DAY LONG!! ha!

i heat embossed the image and sentiment (which is from the Decorated Wishes-Mixed Add On stamp set!), and then colored it all in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers!
i added some machine stitching along the top of the card, and that's that! wow, right?!

Beachy Day

well, it was 80 degrees here the other day...in January!!! ha ha!!
hence the inspiration for my card that's up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog today!! :)

first, i stamped the word 'summer' (from the Simply Seasonal stamp set) repeatedly in a light grey ink onto the card front. then I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color directly onto the stamps of the palm tree and island images! the images are from the Paradise Palms stamp set! once i finished the colored, i stamped them on top of the 'summer' graffiti!

i did the same thing with the sun image. then i added some splatters of yellow around the sun, and blue around the watercolored, blues of the ocean!
the sentiment was heat embossed from the Aloha Newton stamp set!
hope this card sends some warmth to you, if you're in a cold area! :)
enjoy!

hello!!!

it's SUCH a fun release this month over at the Sweet Stamp Shop!! :) it's very 'fairy tale' themed, and i just LOOOOOVE it! :)

you know i had to color up all of those princesses!!! ha ha!! i had SOOOOO much fun bringing these ladies to life! and i have some other ideas brewing of how to turn them into other princesses! so exciting!

i created a card with that adorable prince image from Prince Charming, and it's just too cute!

i used Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon, Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron for the sky and grass! then i splattered some water! once the water was dry, i splattered those same colors with a paint brush. hello: fun!

i stamped the sentiment in the top right corner. and then for a little extra fun, i stamped the last part of it onto the banner in that stamp set! LOOOOOVE how that looks!

so who's your favorite princess?! you better hurry if you want to get your hands on them! :)
